From the archive, October 2021. This English summary looks back at a tasting report credited to Richard Chodora on Pivní.info. The scores are the reviewers’ personal impressions, rather than official festival awards.

The report follows two tasters through Slunce ve skle 2021, from lagers and IPAs to stouts, gose and other sour beers. Their preferences do not always agree – which is part of the pleasure of reading a proper tasting report.

Potmehúd features in the second taster’s account. Deadly Combo Nelson + Sabro shares his top spot among the NEIPAs he tried, alongside Susan from Pioneer. He gives both beers four stars. This was his own comparison of the samples, not a competition result.

He also singles out Samuel’s stand, where all three Potmehúd beers impressed him: SMaSH the Talus 12° IPA received four and a half stars, SMaSH the Centennial 13° IPA five stars, and the Deadly Combo NEIPA four stars.

The original Czech report includes the full tasting notes, other breweries and festival photographs. Its beer list describes the 2021 event and does not indicate current stock. Explore our beer and batch archive for more about our brews, or visit the shop for today’s selection.
